SAKINA N. RIDDELL, Secretary, is a legal recruiter who specializes in recruiting and placing experienced attorneys in law firms and corporate legal departments. Prior to her recruiting career, Sakina was an associate at Phillips Lytle LLP where she practiced for seven years in the areas of commercial real estate and finance. She received her B.A., cum laude, from Duke University in 1997 and received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2000. In 2007, she received Business First’s 40 Under 40 Award and 1490 Enterprises’ Black Achievers In Industry Award. Prior to becoming Secretary, Sakina served for two years as a Local Director of WBASNY’s WNY Chapter. She is a Past President of the Minority Bar Association of Western New York, is the Chair of the Buffalo Committee for the Georgetown University Alumni Admissions Program and also serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Pick of the Crop Dance, a Buffalo based contemporary dance company.
