ELISHA J. BURKART is a 2002 graduate of the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University and a 2005 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, where she completed a concentration in Labor and Employment Law.
Ms. Burkart is currently an associate in the Labor & Employment practice group at Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP, where she represents corporations and municipalities in all aspects of labor and employment law. Prior to joining Jaeckle, Ms. Burkart was an associate at Kavinoky Cook LLP, where her practice focused on the representation of municipalities, corporations, and individuals in federal and state court and administrative tribunals in the areas of business and commercial litigation, labor and employment law, and general litigation.
Ms. Burkart is a member of the American Bar Association, Bar Association of Erie County, Labor & Employment Committee and is also a member of the WNY Chapter of the Labor & Employment Relations Association. She is a volunteer tutor for the Lawyers for Learning Program.
Ms. Burkart is in her second year on the Board of Directors for the Western New York Chapter of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York ("WBASNY"). She also co-chairs the WBASNY Labor and Employment Law Committee and the Membership Committee.
Ms. Burkart routinely engages in presentations and publication on labor and employment law matters.
